Our field research informs our work on key issues in school education
Our initial work in school education in 2001 started in a programmatic manner. We worked with government schools on programmes such as ‘Learning Guarantee’, ‘Child-Friendly Schools Initiative’ and ‘Accelerated Learning’. Today, we work in a more institutional mode through our District Institutes (DIs) and Teacher Learning Centres (TLCs) in the field.
Our teams on the ground work closely and consistently with people who have a direct influence on teaching and learning in the classroom: teachers, head teachers, education department functionaries and stakeholders.

Using primary data from the districts in which we work, we also conduct field research studies on areas and issues of concern in school education. We seek to influence policy and disseminate our insights and studies to practitioners and academics working in the field of education.
